Welcome to our website! The information on this site is for patients and their families, medical personnel, donors, volunteers, and anyone interested in learning about Thalassaemia and other haemoglobinopathies.
 
The Thalassaemia Society of Victoria is funded primarily to provide community education about genetic blood disorders. Please contact us to arrange a presentation at your school or community group.

 Genetic Support Network of Victoria workshops
 
The Genetic Support Network of Victoria is running workshops on how to start a support group, a free learn to draw day at the Royal  Children's Hospital, and a seminar on where groups can seek funding.  For futher information about these activities please click here.  
 
Free Educational Presentations 
to secondary students and community groups
now taking bookings for 2008.
 
Presentations offer an introduction into genetic conditions, to coincide with the current science/health syllabus as well as providing students with the perspective of someone living with the condition, such as thalassaemia.
